The summer is coming to a close and it’s back-to-school again. End of summer is when Cultivate goes into full swing to ramp-up for the beginning of classes.

Late summer is when Cultivate Food Rescue needs volunteers more than ever – and, thanks to Beacon Health Systems, we did not go wanting.

“Thank’s!” to Our Beacon Heath System Volunteers

We want to thank our partners at Beacon Health System for their volunteer work in supporting the Cultivate Food Rescue Backpack Program. In just 2 hours, our Beacon volunteers prepared and packaged 365 meals!

Volunteers are the lifeblood that makes Cultivate Food Rescue possible. These meals will feed hungry children through our Backpack Program for the 2020 school year. 2 hours of work provided enough meals to feed over 100 children for a full month.

We value our volunteers because they offer the necessary labor to prepare and package ready-made meals for the children in our Backpack Program. Not everyone can afford to become a backpack sponsor, but you can still make an impact on childhood hunger by volunteering. Your support makes all the difference for a child in need.
