Taste of Hope

Adapting to the Times

Hosting a fundraiser in 2020 posed a few difficulties, but we didn’t let that stop us. Our original plan to host a 600-person event at the Century Center pivoted instead to inviting those people into our own building for multiple smaller dinners of 10-24 people.

Our very own Chef Randy Z prepared a 5-course meal for each individual made from primarily donated food like duck, salmon, pork, watermelon, filet mignon, and even parsnip puree. Each course was paired with a tasting of wine and the evening finished off with a delicious helping of bananas foster.

While our guests filled their stomachs, we were able to share Cultivate’s mission, testimonies from our partners, as well as some of our recent achievements including the move to our new building, the new freezer addition, the growth of our backpack program, and our continued support from both financial donors and volunteers.

Taste of Hope 2020 was a success and we can’t wait to see you all again on September 16, 2021. Keep an eye out for our newsletters and emails for more information on this year’s Taste of Hope!
