Who says we can’t have a little fun while making delicious meals for those in need? We set up a meatloaf cook-off for our chefs earlier this month, just for fun! Four of our chefs competed, and Kevin was voted the winner!

Each meatloaf was created using rescued food, had its own unique flavors and ingredients, and – most importantly – were packaged into our frozen meals for the weekend backpack program.

It’s #HungerActionMonth, and we’re so proud to see people in our community getting organized to fight hunger. Like former Notre Dame coach Muffet McGraw, from our home base of South Bend, who has started Meals With Muffet to organize neighborhood food drives for local food pantries.

Meals With Muffet is a partnership between Coach McGraw, Bread of Life Drive, Holtz’s Heroes Foundation, Inc., and the Notre Dame Alumni Association. To participate in the food drive, check out her website https://mealswithmuffet.nd.edu/ and look up a local food pantry near you here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1VPKLvkkQ7jzJwQF1DsFD6mbsnQv4mM4n&ll=41.566443279094834%2C-86.07471144211054&z=10

Keep up the good work, Coach McGraw!

Hello! This is Jim here, one of Cultivate's Co-Founders. I'm having a birthday fundraiser to fund 5 backpacks for this school year and to increase the number who like and follow us on Facebook. We are rapidly approaching 4,000 likes. Can you help us with both of these goals?

Our kitchen really smelled good as Ivy Tech interns made pork tenderloin, salad, and apple crisp the other day. This delicious meal was delivered to our friends at the RMHC of Michiana. Thanks Ashlyn and Sheila for serving families at RMHC with this fantastic food. And thanks to all our supporters for making this possible!

To make a gift to bless families in need of a nutritious meal today, could you make a gift to Cultivate? Your tax-deductible donation will be a blessing to someone in need. https://cultivateculinary.z2systems.com/np/clients/cultivateculinary/donation.jsp

Last week, Shelly, Lanie, and Chris from our staff had the opportunity to visit Second Helpings in Indianapolis. Second Helpings has been rescuing food and feeding food-insecure populations for 20 years. Our team met with Nora, who gave them a tour and explained the details of their large food rescue, food redistribution, and meal providing programs.

Second Helpings has been an inspiration to us since the beginning of our mission, and they continue to encourage and help us along the way. Thanks for having us and sharing your vision! Keep up the great working feeding thousands and thousands of people in Indy!
