More than 42,000 individuals—or 16% of the population—in St. Joseph County are food-insecure; more than 353,000 (21.2%) of the children in Indiana experience food insecurity.
13.5% of individuals live in poverty and many more struggle on a daily basis.
Approximately 7,000 students per day drop out of high school in America. Dropouts earn $200,000 less over their lifetimes compared to high school grads, and 75% of crimes are committed by high school drop-outs.
We combat these realities by providing nutritious healthy meals, culinary job training, and catering services that raise funds for local programs. James 1:27 says, “Pure and genuine love in the sight of God is to help those in distress.”
Our partnerships with Notre Dame, Nelson’s Chicken, Fresh Thyme, Rise’n Roll, and The Century Center allow us to supply food to local food banks and churches across South Bend, Mishawaka, and Elkhart.
