Food Rescue Partnership with Notre Dame

Food Rescue

More than 100,000 people in Michiana are food-insecure; $25/month provides 400 meals each year to the people who need them most.

Our Mission

Cultivate Culinary School & Catering is devoted to ending the cycle of joblessness, poverty, and hunger in the local communities of northern Indiana by providing a food rescue service and job training in the culinary arts.

Defining Food Rescue:

Our partnership with Notre Dame and other local food suppliers provides a great opportunity to feed members of our community who are food-insecure. Our food rescue program fills the gap between potentially wasted food and the people and organizations that need food the most.

Food Rescue

The practice of gathering edible food that would otherwise go to waste from places such as restaurants, grocery stores, produce markets, or dining facilities and distributing it to local food banks, food pantries, and emergency food programs.
